Minitom 2L is a high-frequency surgical handpiece with a fibre optic handpiece. Direct lighting of the operating area provides the dentist with essential support during surgery while a microprocessor with an automatic power compensation device controls all the instrument functions. The automatic power compensation device adjusts applicable energy to take into account the different dielectric characteristics of the tissue being treated. This characteristics provides a fluid, “intelligent” cut, minimising the risk of jamming during the application. The 18 K Gold Plated loops improve the surgical action considerably thanks to the high conductivity of the employed metal. Minitom 2L allows the dental surgeon to programme activation times between 0.1 and 9.9 seconds. This allows the dentist to test out the effect of the device and so prevent any risks associated with underestimation of power, which could result in damage to adjoining tissue.
